We have all been taught that having a family “code word” is imperative to protect your child from being abducted. A code word may have been useful decades ago, but times have changed and predators have become more brash. C.O.B.R.A. Defense Systems does NOT recommend your child have a code word, in fact, we believe that having your child ask for a code word from a stranger will put your child in more danger by innocently inviting the predator to have a conversation which allows the predator to get closer to your child.
C.O.B.R.A.’s Child Abduction Prevention (CAP) Program will teach you and your child effective alternatives to dealing with strangers and threatening situations. Our next CAP class is November 16th.
